Students enrolling in the musical theatre or drama classes work directly with coaches who have appeared in numerous West End and touring productions, top-rate regional theatre, opera, hit movie musicals, and television shows. They receive real world training that prepares them to achieve success in the industry, creating an educational experience few other musical theatre colleges can offer.
Attracting aspiring actors from around the world, MAPA gives students the opportunity to study their craft in the central hub for launching acting or musical theatre careers. Students learn and hone their skills in acting, singing, and dancing in our very own facilities here in Chester. Which include voice practice rooms, state-of-the-art dancing studios, and professionally equipped recording and shooting studios.
Along with this unparalleled musical theatre training, we offer the chance to “be seen” by other professionals in the business (agents, casting directors, choreographers, composers, directors, producers) with our sister company Majestic International Model and Casting Agency with clients throughout the UK and EU. We offer two “main stage” productions each year.

Mini Majestic’s – Age 3-5 After my little girl taking Ballet classes from the age of 3-4 and going back to the days when I did ballet. I found that most children found the classes hard work and not much fun, hence we have devised these new sessions especially for young children with lots of energy that really want to perform and build up confidence. This class is fast paced, fun and really grabs the attention of the younger performer. Drama, Singing and Dance is covered in this carefully devised session. Our Mini Majestic’s learn rhymes and tongue twisters to help improve speech and dress up and act out different characters to help build confidence. We also learn fun and funky dance, including a full dance warm up incorporating all the basic steps for children of this age, teaching routines to all the latest chart hits and Disney songs. We encourage all of our pupils to sing in groups as well as individually, learning songs from Disney films as well as children’s musicals. At the end of each term we invite family and friends in to our class to watch a fun, low pressure, fully costumed short performance of all the things that we have learnt during the term. Shows to include Little Red Riding Hood, Finding Nemo, Peter Pan, The Gingerbread man and Snow White. (Shows subject to change) Book early to avoid disappointment, as this is one of our most popular classes.
Whatever career your children decide that they want to do, it is best to be able to offer them support from a young age. If your child decides that they would like to have a career in the performing arts then it is a great idea to get them involved with an after school drama club or a summer holiday drama workshop. These extra-curricular activities can help to provide your children with an excellent base on which to base their future career. So let’s look at some of the major benefits of signing your children up to a dance or drama group.
Improving your child’s SKILLS
Attending a drama club will help your child to improve their skill set. Drama clubs will teach children to play games and do exercises that can help them to improve their acting and performance skills. These games should also help them to be able to build on their own creative talents. Skills like these are not limited to the initial exercises, so they will be able to use them in a number a different performance circumstances, even outside of the drama group. They will be able to draw on these games and drama exercises to help them to create realistic emotions in their future acting performances.
Encouraging a Hobby
Encouraging children to pursue their favourite hobby can help to keep them active and will help them to engage their brain outside of the classroom. They will also be able to practice and improve their skills outside of drama club, using the techniques that they have been taught during their sessions.
Being involved in an out of school club or societies can help also to stop children from engaging in anti-social behaviours which are often brought about by boredom.
Networking and Socialisation
Drama clubs provide an excellent opportunity for children to network and develop their social skills. They are likely to develop new friendships as a result of being part of a group. Being able to interact well with others is an important skill for children, whichever career that they choose. However, communication is especially import in the performing arts. Everyone from the stage hands to the lead performer needs to be able to communicate properly with the rest of their team. The communication skills that they will learn during their time at drama club will help them in their future careers.
Drama is an excellent way to help your child to develop their ability to express themselves. Children can struggle to understand and express emotion, unless they are allowed to do it in different ways. Acting and performing can provide ideal opportunities for your children to express themselves in non-verbal ways. Improving self-expression can lead to happier and healthier children.
MAPA will make sure that we keep up to date with the latest acting opportunities with having Majestic International Model and Casting agency, we will to let you know if any opportunities present themselves which would be suitable for your child. This means that you won’t have to spend all day searching for auditions and casting calls due to having our own agency. MAPA are keen to get roles for our students (if this is what they want). MAPA will try to give students as many opportunities as possible!
MAPA strives to create exciting opportunities for our students. Performances are a big part of MAPA to allow students to showcase their talents. We sometimes will invite industry professionals to the classes.
