Let's Step it Up

My eldest daughter Ellarose attended the 'Matilda workshop' which although was ran by zoom meetings due to the restrictions in place at the time she absolutely loved it. It's nice to see the school now open and in such an accessible place in chester. The building is so well equipped for the children and attendees of classes. Joanne along with all the teachers are amazing at what they do, Ellarose has grown even more in confidence and from being slightly timid at the start the teachers brought out the very best in her, she gave everything to her assigned role. The academy is an asset to Chester and offers a wide range of activities, classes and hire for events & more. Please go see what's on offer - I highly recommend Joanne and the team. 5*

MAPA has been an amazing experience for our 8 year old daughter. She has been taking classes for 2 years now, started off at the agency and then on to the school, which is an a amazing set up. Her lessons consist of piano, voice and musical theatre on a Saturday. The teachers are amazing with kids here, Chloe Joanne and Mair have excelled my daughters confidence. Joanne goes above and beyond for her team and the kids at the school, which such passion. Great communication even at 11pm (sorry, panicked mum haha) My daughter was immediately welcomed with enthusiasm from the moment she walked through the door. They really took the time to ask about our daughter and her interests in order to match her up with the right instructors for her. It has been a perfect fit! She looks forward to her multiple lessons every week. They also offer a low key, no pressure chance to perform twice a year. The office is well managed and organised. In the time we've been at the school, they've had the same instructors, which gives consistency to the kids and also shows that they treat their employees well. I recommend this school to anyone I know interested in the arts.

They are a fabulous dance and drama school, they are fully inclusive and every child gets to audition for the shows. Miss Joanne adores the kids and everything she does is always about them. Chloe has come on so much with her skills but also her confidence since September.

MAPA is an amazing school, they have such a family feel as soon as you walk through the door. I have 2 children that attend different classes and they are different in personality, which was a concern for me, but the teachers are fabulous whether your child is a bit shy or very confident. I cannot thank you enough for the way my shy little 7 yr old is now dancing, singing and acting with confidence and my super confident 11 yr old you have helped to calm and refine his love of musical theatre in each of the disciplines...the improvement is simply amazing. Would recommend to any age and ability

MAPA is an excellent academy for training and education for my children. Such a personal touch. My daughter had lost her passion for acting following some very poor teachers and how she was treated in another school. However since being at MAPA my daughter has flourished and she’s absolutely shining! I can’t thank you enough for giving my daughter back her confidence, you have truly empowered her. As to my son he has found the love of musical theatre, he has learnt his craft and gained experience working with current and past industry professionals and has an amazing time on each and every class. Majestic the agency, MAPA's sister company also landed my son the part Scrooge on stage, unfortunately this has been cancelled due to the Pandemic. Strongly recommend.

We found majestic by chance when looking for a holiday club which in itself was very nurturing and fun. My daughter has danced for some years and was already part of an established musical theatre group. My daughter asked if she could try the classes and the high standard of teaching was immediately evident. There is individual goal setting recognising individual skills and potential as opposed to trying to fit a child into one box. Miss Chloe has advanced my daughter's dancing at pace. It really is a one stop shop for all things dance and music which provides a child with choice and an individual pathway. Miss Joanne is so nurturing, which is very reassuring.

We have two children ( 5 and 9 ) at MAPA both in different classes as of ages and interests. I can honestly not recommend this school enough, it is an excellent school not only for dance but drama too as both my children do several classes, with excellent training where students are treated with respect. My Husband and I are 100 % happy and so are our children obviously. It has been 15 months and each term we are delighted with the teachers, even online the teachers went above and beyond for the children. Joanne has such a beautiful way with the children and has their best interests at heart. They know our children so well that each time they give us a feedback, we completely recognise them and individual feedback. The teachers are great in terms of advice and most important, they are realistic and fair. What I like the most at MAPA is that every member of staff teaches rigour, respect and that is not incompatible with having fun ! My children always have the choice to attend or not and guess what even though we pay termly, they would never miss any lesson. I would recommend without hesitating on our experience on dance classes, drama club and music lessons such as piano and singing.

This is a fabulous place. They have really nurtured our little one and the attention to care and detail, checking they are okay and boosting our child’s confidence has been wonderful. They did everything during lockdown to keep in touch with us and ran successful online Zoom classes - it has been amazing. Can’t recommend them enough.

Thank you so much to all the team at MAPA! My 5 year old girl had an amazing time at the Descendants holiday club! Everyone was so welcoming and she loved all the dancing, singing, acting and crafts! Special thanks to Miss Joanne as I was safe in the knowledge that everything was done to the upmost standards for social distancing and Covid. Sophie can’t wait for the next one and we’ll be booking onto the Saturday Mini Musical Theatre!

My daughter is four years old and she absolutely loved going to classes at MAPA. Miss Joanne is exceptionally nurturing and takes great care to make sure each child is achieving and having fun. The holiday clubs are great and children are encouraged, inspired, and expertly led Xxx

My girls have singing lessons, also actors on the books, recently done the first 2 weeks of holiday club and loved Chloe and Joanne. Can't wait for new term to start in September!

My daughter Eleanor had a fantastic time on the Fosse virtual workshop. Chloe and Mair were great teaches and excellent coaches. Can’t wait to see the video. Wish we lived close enough to attend in person. We’ll be back if you do any more virtual workshops - Saturday’s won’t be the same and Eleanor misses you already.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Fosse workshop. The lessons were great fun and very productive. Mair and Chloe are brilliant at what they do and great fun to work with. Would definitely recommend their classes.
